About Williams Cottage Inn
The Williams Cottage Inn is located in the charming seaside town of Beach Haven, at the south end of New Jersey's famed Long Beach Island. Completed in 1888 and restored between 2004–2007. Williams Cottage Inn is just a few steps from the beach and contains period antiques, fireplaces, and original artwork.
Each guest room has its own distinctive style, private luxury en suite, flat-screen TVs and individual climate controls. Two of the guest rooms are located on the first floor including one ADA compliant room. In addition to eight private guest rooms, Williams Cottage Inn has spacious common areas for guests to enjoy in any weather.
Enter Williams Cottage Inn and you’ll be welcomed back to Beach Haven in the 1880s. The foyer retains the original wooden staircase and decorative terra cotta fireplace. Victorian hand-screened wallpapers wrap the octagonal space in a wealth of beautiful patterns lit by the warm glow of an alabaster chandelier.
Oriental rugs and stained glass lead you to the reception desk where even the bell is authentic to the period. The relaxed sitting area is the perfect spot for reading a book or playing backgammon. For private events, the original hardwood floors provide the perfect dance floor!
Walls shimmer in hand-screened wallpaper of subtle gold and green leaves and the mirror above the working fireplace reflects the Regency chandelier. The niche is papered in an elaborate Japanese lattice print, framing the Victorian marble-topped sideboard and etched ruby glass lamps. Period paintings grace the walls. You can enjoy your breakfast here or on the adjoining wrap-around porch; your morning coffee cooled and your appetite whetted by ocean breezes.
This spacious room with ocean and porch views through tall windows has a large flat-screen TV over a Victorian sideboard. In addition to the large flatscreen TV, there are books, movies and games at the ready as well as comfortable sofas, wingback chairs, Victorian marble-topped tables, and period lamps. 24-hour coffee and tea, a water cooler, a refrigerator-freezer, glasses, and openers for wine, martini glasses, & ice buckets are also available in the library.
The wide wrap-around porch is open to every passing breeze. Perfect for kicking back and relaxing with plenty of room to stretch out, chat with friends, and sip your favorite drinks in the shade. Comfortable furniture and tables just waiting for whatever—snacking, dining, snuggling, reading, playing cards—or just doing nothing!
